For courts & partners
What is a Compete partner court?
Compete runs events at a curated set of partner courts across Chennai. Here is what that means for venues and for players.
Not every court in Chennai hosts Compete events. Partner courts are venues we have specifically evaluated and chosen to run events at because they meet the standards required for competitive play.
What Compete looks for
- Good court surfaces — consistent bounce, appropriate grip, maintained regularly
- Adequate lighting — sufficient for competitive play, not just casual sessions
- Enough space — room for players waiting, for the tournament director to operate, for spectators if applicable
- Management invested in the sporting community — not just in footfall, but in the quality of competition their venue enables
What it means for players
Any Compete event you attend is at a venue that has met this bar. You do not need to research the court beforehand or worry about showing up to a substandard facility. That consistency is the point of having a partner network rather than booking the cheapest available court for each event.
What it means for the venue
Partner courts are part of Compete's regular monthly event schedule. That means consistent, organised events at their facility — events that bring in competitive players from across the city rather than just their immediate neighbourhood.
Events are distributed across partner courts throughout the month and across Chennai — Anna Nagar, T. Nagar, Mylapore, Adyar, Injambakkam, ECR, Velachery, Porur, Kilpauk, and beyond — so that no single venue bears the entire load and players across the city have options within reach.
Becoming a partner court
