Compete.win, operated by Silk Deck Pvt. Ltd. ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our app, Compete (available on Apple Store and Play Store), and our website https://compete.win (collectively, the “Platform"). All the references to “you” or “your,” as applicable, mean the person that participates, accesses and/or uses the Service in any manner (the “User”).
The Privacy policy sets out (a) the types of information that we may collect from you when you access or use our services (collectively, our “Services”), and practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protections and disclosing that information. By using our Service, you expressly agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and you accept to comply with our Terms of Service and you undertake that your age is above 13.
If you are under 13 years of age, you are not eligible to use the Service, if you are under the age of 18, parental consent is required in order to access our Service and the Platform. If you choose to register for the Service, you agree to provide and maintain true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself as prompted by the Service's registration form. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, please do not proceed further, use, access our Platform and/or our Service and/or provide us with any information.
1. Definitions
As provided by the SPDI Rules, “Sensitive Personal Data or Information” relates to:
passwords
financial information such as bank account or credit card or debit card or other payment instrument details;
physical, physiological and mental health condition;
sexual orientation;
medical records and history;
any detail relating to the above clauses as provided to body corporate for providing service; and
any of the information received under above clauses by body corporate for processing, stored or processed under lawful contract or otherwise.
Account: refers to the profile created by the User using their Google or Apple account to access and participate in the Compete’s Platform
Non-Personal Identification Info: refers to data such as Browser Information, Device information, IP address, precise geolocation data.
2. Which Information does Compete collect?
2.1 Information you provide to us in relation to your use of our Platform
Personal information during creation of a User account on our Platform, including your name, telephone number, email address, date of birth, gender and photo for profile picture, and other information. The type of Information collected from a User can vary based on the interaction with the platform.
We do not store any payment information on our Platform or in any manner, when you make a payment for our Services. This payment information is processed by our payment service provider, Razorpay, which handles your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy available at https://razorpay.com/privacy/. We only receive payment confirmation and status in the form of an order ID provided by Razorpay.
When you allow us to use your location services on your device, we use your precise location to help you identify the closest area that we service from our serviceable area list. We do not use your location to track you. You can withdraw this consent anytime by disabling our access to your location data.
We may request you to provide demographic information such as gender, age, educational qualifications, and other information relevant to the provision of services available at Platform;
Communication preferences through surveys, feedback, support, requirements, and any other correspondence site on the Platform;
All the above-mentioned information collected from you constitutes as “personal data” or “Sensitive Personal Data or Information” as per the SPDI rules. You hereby consent to collection and use of this information. You may choose not to provide us certain information, but then you may not be able to create your account with us on our Platform or take full advantage of our Services.
2.2 Information collected from Google and Apple (third-party site accounts)
We only offer the option to register on our Platform using your existing Google or Apple account. Users may register by using their Google or Apple account through Federated identity authentication powered through the Firebase platform.
By doing so, you represent that you are authorized to disclose your Google or Apple account information without violating any applicable terms and conditions associated with the use of your Google or Apple account. You further confirm your compliance with such terms, and we shall not be held liable for any fees or damages incurred by Apple, Google or any third parties as a result of your use.
When you link your Google or Apple account for registration on our platform, we collect the following information: your name, email address, profile picture, and any other information you have made publicly available through your Google or Apple account.
2.3 Cookies
“Cookies” are small data files stored on a device when a website is visited or an application in a device is used. These files help improve browsing experience by remembering preferences, enhancing site functionality, and providing tailored content. Compete does not collect your information from our Platform through using cookies in any manner.
3. How Compete uses your Information
Facilitating matchmaking and coordinating sports game particularly Badminton and Pickleball;
Maintaining a public leaderboard within the Platform and match users based on their performance and ratings;
Improve and personalize your experience within the Service we provide;
To provide Customer support, maintaining anonymous crash logs to diagnose service disruptions, etc;
Compliance with applicable laws and other regulations, to prevent fraud and security risks;
To generate aggregated data to prepare insights (not being SPDI) to enable us to understand patterns and trends with a view to learn more about your preferences or other characteristics.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Compete does not sell, rent, or transfer your personal information to third parties. We may share your personal information in the following circumstances:
With service providers: We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Service.
For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to legal requests, including but not limited to warrants, court orders, etc.
In Case of Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the business transaction.
5. User Control and Account preference
Account Information: you can update or correct partial personal information such as your username, description, gender through your profile page available on Compete app on your device. Users name, phone number, date of birth and email ID cannot be changed once given during the initial time of registration with us. You can reach out to us in case you wish to make any changes to your Account information at internalaccounts@compete.win.
Location Data: Users can disable location services on your device, but this may affect the functionality of the Service.
Calendar Access: Users can deny access to your calendar if you do not wish to integrate it with our Service.
Profile Data: you can update or remove your profile image. You can also change your username, public description, and gender available on Platform.
6. Deletion of User Information
Users may delete their Account at any time by filling out the deletion form available at our Platform compete.win/bye. Upon receiving the deletion form we may:
Anonymize all personal data associated with the Account, including but not limited to name, email address, and any other identifying information.
Retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Once your Account is deleted, this action is permanent and cannot be reversed. Any data or content associated with your deleted Account will not be accessible to you.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on our website, emailing you, sending an in-app notification or through any other appropriate channels. You may choose to not accept our updated Privacy Policy which may lead to denial of usage of our Platform. Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
